Last year's Dozer Day was a great success, and this year's promises to be better than ever!


2007 Highlights


Exploration Displays... They crawled on, sat in and got up real close to huge construction, military, fire-fighting equipment and vehicles, helicopter and patrol car.

Children's Activities... A hayride, kids got their face painted, made cement handprints, and dug for treasures in a ton of sand!

Large and Loud Equipment Demonstrations... Families watched demonstrations of heavy equipment used for construction and emergencies.

Safety Demonstrations... Smokey Bear was there at the Smokey Bear Cabin and taught children about fire prevention with the Division of Forestry. They also had the opportunity to see forest fighting equipment up close.
Code Red Station ... Kids got fingerprinted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department. Met Dozer, one of the County's local K-9 dogs, saw the Community Recreation Trailer, the DARE Car, and Casey, The Talking Car! The learned about bicycle and helmet safety from the Marion County Sheriff's Department.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, candy, and soda kept everyone going on that beautiful Saturday!
